First they were Juicin’. But no, that wasn’t enough juice was it. They had to start Super Juicin’. You would think that would be enough juice, wouldn’t you? Nope. Now they’re Juicin’ Fruit with fruit, it’s not a double IPA but there’s double fruit to boot. Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra hops and in case that wasn’t enough juice for ya’, Sawdust City threw in some guava puree, and to top things off some additional guava flavour! Perhaps enough guava for this brew to be deemed health food? ** Perhaps.
Sam the brewer tells us to “Grab a six pack pull one out. Pour it in your glass before you pop it in your mouth. Juicin’ Fruit, it’s gonna move ya. With malt so soft it gets right to ya. Juicin Fruit, the hop and fruit blend is gonna moo-oo-ove ya.” * If you’re looking for something else fruity that will move you, Ducolax Chewy Fruit bites will do the trick, but you don’t hear anyone singing about them. ** Let’s just hope that Sam is a better brewer than he is a rapper.
A muted hazy citrus grapefruit shade of a pour, it looks like it’s already juicin’! Citrus juicy with a nice hoppy grapefruit tang in the old probiscis. The first taste is citrus combining with the guava which is very pronounced, then grapefruit bitters, all coming together in this juicy juicer. The mild tang bitters at the end is nicely balanced with the citrus guava fruit salad. You know it’s a good beer when you don’t want it to end. For lovers of juicy IPAs this one is hard to beat.
Sam isn’t up for a Grammy this year, but he can still hold his head high because he’s a damn good brewer.
