Me and Steve Miller really love those peaches. * That’s right, I love me a nice juicy peach. Off the tree, in a pie, or a cobbler, how about a peach scone. I’m doing my best Pavlov’s dog impersonation right now. And every now and then a peachy pint hits the spot too. On the other hand, I’m not a wheat beer lover, or even liker for that matter, although I do sample the genre once in a blue moon. On the third hand, I’m a fan of Sawdust City and their Juicin’ was super suds peachy.

SC tell us that Full is loaded. If that’s the case we were all full at the 5th COMDB AGM. What SC mean is that this beer is loaded with peaches, as in fruit full. Time to determine if this wheat is outstanding in its field, or will it be im-peached.

A peach-coloured pour with a white wheat head. Smells like a wheat peach beer. No surprises yet. Just like in the Good Book, the revelations come at the end. **

The taste is subtle wheat banana with peachy peach and some peach fuzz fizz and a touch of tang, quite a nice sequence and combo. The peach sets off the wheat and it all works well. A pillowy mouthfeel stays as the fizz leaves, and a touch of bitters fills the void.

Definitely more peachy than wheaty. I think my love of peaches overpowered my wheat wariness or is that weariness. Wary, weary, whatever.  This is a very fruit full summer peach treat of a wheat.

*Editor’s Comment: In the Steve Miller 1973 number 1 hit song “The Joker” Miller sings “I really love your peaches, Wanna shake your tree.”

**Editor’s Comment: In the Bible, the book of Revelation is the last book in the New Testament.
