While JT is quaffing crafts and cavorting in Costa Rica, someone has to hold down the fort and do a brew review, or two. Ok, a few. So, I find myself thrust into the lime lite once again.*
Shawn Ampersand Ed treated us to a cherries jubilee brewski previously, now they have searched their Lager Shed for another fruitful frosty and flipped the switch on a salted lime light. The secret to a successful salted lime cerveza is the KISS principle (keep it subtle suds master). A little less lime and a dash of a smidgen of salt is the right recipe for attaining super suds status. Time to score this pour, por favor.
A golden semi clear beer, with a slim trim head, looking sharp. A fresh light lime aroma, here’s hoping for some subtle citrus cerveza to follow. The taste is fizzy fresh light lime with a malt smooth finish. Definitely summer time dock side suds, but this brew works just as well while watching some big screen hockey. They got it right with this just right limey lite. A big swig yields a little more lime but it’s all fine. They say the NaCl makes for a soft salt finish, it smooths the suds so to speak. Whatever it does, it’s working.
