Ah yes, tiny cars with friends. Fond memories of the COMDB AGM with RA as the designated driver, an expression you sure don’t hear too often. Driving that tiny car in search of my last drive. This is another Refined Fool’s Summer Beer League special, brewed specifically for the average athlete. Of course, and on the course, my golf is sub-par, but not in a good way if you know what I mean. So, where’s the beer league beer for beleaguered athletes?
We have been working our way through the RF summer league team of brews, most of them being stalwart starters, and it’s no surprise that Physical Inactivity was our favourite. Time to take this light (lite?)* lager for a drive.
A clear and very light pour, the camera adds a bit of a golden glow that just isn’t there in real life. Super light, super clear, and here’s hoping it’s a super beer. Some bubbles but not contributing to any foam or froth. A fresh light malt aroma, no hops or anything else happening here. First taste is malt smooth with a bit of apple fruit, easy drinking with an ever so subtle dry finish and aftertaste. Crushable for sure. Fruit is gone and what is left is a full mouthfeel malt, smooth and tasty. Not watery like some lights, which is much appreciated.
As full flavoured a light as you will find, another Summer League super suds.
