Leisure Suit Larry, meet the “Sweatsedo Superhero” Jeff Paul

No Leisure Suit Larry here, we’re talking polyester track pants Paul, as in Jeff Paul, who Trestle adoringly refer to as their, and I quote, “sweatsedo superhero”. The diatribe on the can has more adjectives than my Thesaurus and summarizes by describing track pants as “the genesis of unparalleled comfort.” But track pants forever? Sounds like they want to be buried in them.

Track pants seem conspicuously absent from the COM Guide to Fashion and for good reason. Back in the day track pants were for, well, track. They weren’t attire that you would leave the house in unless you were going to a track meet. Today I believe they are part of the dress code to get into Walmart. My own rule is no track pants during a video conference, I mean we’re all professionals here.

As far as Cold IPAs go, we have downed a few. We philosophized with Quantum Hugs and met Refined Fool’s single friend. Having little to do with the temperature of your beer fridge, a Cold IPA is an IPA that is brewed with lager yeasts fermented at lower temperatures, the aim being a clean crisp and bright IPA.

This particular cold craft is surprisingly clear for an IPA, as in crystal. A bit bubbly with the cold leaving a frosting of froth. A stone fruit nose, some hops in there too. The first swig has lots of fruit with grapefruit bitters all mixed together, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. A smooth mouthfeel to start, then pillowy. The fruit is a tad over the top, like a puree rather than fresh. A high ABV for a single but it wears it well, not boozy. Not exactly balanced either but it is easy drinking. And cold. .
