COMDB were selected as a treatment group in a single blind study to pick Nickel Brook’s next beer from their Mystery Pack #3 and let us just say, we are happy we’re not in the control group. * This is the type of assignment that us COM take very seriously, an honour we greatly appreciate and an assignment we took on with all the gravitas that this serious series of suds samplings deserved, and then some! **
Just like Clint, these were brews with no names, so we couldn’t resist attaching an apropos moniker to each.***
The badass bitters of their Belgian IPA seemed to tickle our fancy and rated highest. We were cheering for the Canadian IPA but we found no thrill on that blueberry hill. Their Hazy and Lagered IPAs were both appreciated and attained super suds status.
As far as ratings go, it’s time for a four score that wasn’t seven years ago.****
