Everybody loves Carly, except Warren.
Coffee Cream Ale? London Brewing says their cream ale base is so good that it will go with anything. I had some cream ale dreams but they were clouds in my coffee, clouds in my coffee. London Brewing, you’re so vain, you probably think this review is about you, don’t you, don’t you. Who doesn’t love Carly Simon, other than the guy she is singing about. *
RA did a London brew review a few years ago around 4PM in the last few days of winter, but he said it was 5 o’clock somewhere. We fact checked that, and he was correct. He scored their 4PM Sunset Stout so high I had to do a Sunset Reset, another sunset going down so to speak.

Sunset at sunset.
I love me a coffee stout, and there are more than a few super suds coffee porters on our website. And we can’t get enough of Too Much Coffee Man. When it comes to cream ales, we’ve had honey creams and peach creams. We had a Saturday Night Cream Ale on a Friday night (couldn’t wait), and we had a Good Friday Cream Ale on a Thursday (couldn’t wait). We’ve had cream craft draft, and nitro creams, Raven darks and even the cream of the crop. But I can’t recall a coffee cream in any of our 1496 brew reviews, until now. Time to see if this coffee cream is a dream or if it’s just clouds in our coffee.
A light golden pour, no dark keys on this piano. An aroma of light malt with a bit of coffee. The taste is a creamy mouth feel malt with lager sweet and very subtle coffee. Quite a nice combo. The coffee starts to step up a bit but remains subtle, making for a nicely balanced cream ale. No back end bitters on this one. No sharps or flats, it’s a smooth player that hits all the right notes.
Muhammad Ali famously said “It ain’t braggin’ if you can back it up” and if that’s the case, London ain’t braggin’ because they just backed it up. **
