London has graced us with another organic offering for quaffering. They’re serving up an Amber au naturel. If that phrase provided you with an enjoyable mental visual, your welcome.
Local organic malts and hops they tell us. Canada Certified organic they tell us. Just what does “organic” mean you may well be wondering, and rightfully so. According to the Canada Organic Trade Commission organically grown food uses no synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilizers, or sewage sludge. Does that imply that some non-organic hops and malts are grown using sewage sludge as fertilizer? Gross.*

Sunset at sunset.
Not our first London organic. RA had an award winning pic to go with his sky high super suds rating for London’s Organic 4PM Sunset. And unlike Carly, we found no clouds in London’s Organic Coffee Cream Ale. **
This O Amber pours a semi-clear pesticide free shade of copper, with a sludgeless white head. It has a light caramel aroma, fresh and mild. A watery mouthfeel with a full flavoured caramel malt body leading into a dry flat finish. The malt caramel is tasty, not exactly smooth with the dry finish, but it all works well and in balance. The big swig test was applied with favourable results, it actually reduces the dry finish and slight ale bitters.
