Our reviewers are no Annie Leibovitz or Yousuf Karsh but they do have an eye for a pretty pour. So out of literally thousands of brew reviews here are the Editor’s top picks for the top pics to date. Enjoy.
Whites in Night Satin

Trestle’s Boneyard Bay is a white IPA that was captured on a moonlit Muskoka night.
Sunset Suds
RA caught this Organic 4PM Sunset from London Brewing at 4:19PM to do a little day drinking. Is it daytime if the sun is setting? Valid question. Regardless of and because of the timing, this is a great pic.

Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt

This Sawdust City pale ale, Shadows of the Afternoon, was just begging for a shadowy showing, and took a great picture, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Bar Keeps Keep the Beer Flowing
Some bartenders are shy when it comes to being on an Internationally acclaimed website, and also declined to be pictured in this one. Some were not so shy.

A Pre-Flight Flight

A St. John’s NF airport pint, a Yellowbelly Fighting Irish Red with the runway in the background. A great way to deal with a flight delay.
Tomb Raider
Record album covers have often been used as backgrounds and this inner liner from a Black Sabbath best of seemed to be an ideal fit for Hopkin’s Tomb from Breakwall Breweries.

Professor Porter

Back to School with Niagara College Teaching Brewery’s Beer 101 Porter. The library in the background includes a textbook on Fluid Mechanics. Nice touch.
Three Ducks?
A fireside chat with a duck and it’s double for a Burdock Double Ducks. But after a shake of a duck’s tail when the polaroid was fully developed, we find out another duck photobombed the pic. Three ducks! A mischievous mallard snuck into the frame. Our reviewer should have had his ducks in a row.

A Daft Flight Plan

The Daft bar mural aligned with a bar side Daft Draft and seemed a fitting introduction to Daft and their Jon Voyage. A post flight tasting that had creative juices flowing.
Irresponsibly Hopped for Pine Nuts
Twin Pines in front of two pines, it all came together nicely for this woodsy pic of Sawdust City’s Twin Pines. A two bough pine bitters slap in the face, in the mouth to be precise.

What’s Up

The flame table on the boathouse frames up an Up Beer nicely and makes for a picturesque background for this near North micro lager from Gateway City.
Can You Keep a Secret?
Joan Jett rockin’ out to a crazed capacity crowd while all the time dealing with C’est What’s Nitro Ale Joan’s Dark Secret. “bibere hoc”

Comrade Red

Old Comrade by Frank Brewing is all about old friends however the background pictures lean towards McCarthyism and the red scare. Joseph Welch, the legal representative for the US Army in the hearings of the US Army vs Joseph McCarthy addressing McCarthy “Have you no sense of decency sir? At long last, have you no sense of decency?”
With over 1100 pics to choose from I am sure a couple of super star snapshots were missed, but that is the best of the pint portraits we have assembled to date.
Picture that!
Cheers

A picture is worth a thousand words. Or 16 ounces. Or 473ml. Whatever the case, these pictures made me thirsty. Mission accomplished. Congrats!
