Bear on the Run

Bear on the Run

The latest small batch beers are great at New Ontario, but I'd recommend sticking with the classics. The Bear Runner Blonde is one of their best beers and I'd definitely recommend it over any other beer.

Godspeed and Good Wishes

It’s summertime stout season here on the home front, and some thoughtful visitors wished me Godspeed* with a house and heart warming gift of this nitro dry stout from none other than Godspeed Brewery. A greatly appreciated and most appropriate gift for a COM who loves...

A Fresh Fruit Refresher

First we have the old Beau’s tractor burnin’ up the kick-ass-phalt with their juiced AF Hazy IPA. Now the tractor is out in the beery berry patch pickin’ raspberries and down at the brewery, tractor tread squeezin’ limes, for their Refresher. Or what they call a...

Red Pole?

Pola Roja was quick work for the COMDB translation department, being the consummate professionals they are. Spanish for Red Pole they tell me. Based on the name I surmised, assumed, and mistakenly thought the town on the label may be a Spanish hamlet, not to be...

It’s Flavourful, Damn It

It’s Flavourful, Damn It

When I saw the words “flavorful pilsner” on the can I thought to myself “one can hope”. Then I thought that in Canada, isn’t the correct spelling “flavourful”? Humour me for a minute here. Has this brew been Ameri”can”ized? Is our neighbour to the South now dictating...
