From Chambly in the Belle Province, just East of Montreal, to just East of everything else. It’s a whitecap rolling in from the far East coast, as in the Rock. A Newfoundland ultra-light from Port Rexton, this NEIPA is in session.

No whitecaps today.
While sight-seeing in PR in addition to whitecaps, you can also catch a glimpse of whales, puffins, eagles and maybe even an iceberg float. I am more interested in the suds-sipping than the sight-seeing and have enjoyed a few brews from PR. Their Long Trek was a Helles of a hike but well worth it, and their Golden Ale was a super suds toast to the coast. Those were some serious suds, time to lighten things up a bit.
And light is right, a pale lemony hazy pour with its namesake whitecap of a froth. It has a nice one two punch hoppy juicy aroma. First taste is citrus lemony fizzy, very light. Far less fruit than the aroma led me to believe. A touch of fruit, a pinch of hops and the rest is fizz. No one two punch there, it’s more like a one two buckle your shoe, three four close the door.* I think it needs some mango. Why mango? Why not, everyone loves a juicy mango. Let’s just say it needs something. It does evolve a bit as some bitters enter the picture, but more acetic than hoppy.
It is a session NEIPA, but nothing here that’s going to make waves. OK I guess, but this whitecap didn’t float my boat.
