Crush

Frank Brewing Co.

3.8% Alcohol

We quickly dispatched an Instant Crush, we were amazed by a Wonder Crush, and we tapped out with The Crusher. We have also sampled a few Frank brews, Their Old Comrade gave us a red scare, then we were able to relax with their smooth Hoperator, both achieving super suds status.

When it comes to Frank beer names, they are usually forthright, quickly articulated and to the point. * This one is no exception. Crush, as in crushing it, or crushable, or I have a crush on Amber. Frank tells us that “this is a beer you will want to take everywhere”  although I suspect that the Department of Morality may debate that point on Sunday mornings.  It may not be a church approved hydration in our household, but I would agree that this would be a great brunch, or a beachside, seaside, or an almost everywhere and anywhere by my side brew.

A light bright almost yellow pour, not as hazy as the label would lead you to believe. It has a grapefruit juicy hoppy aroma. And so it is, with a bit of a fizz. The first quaff is an aroma match, citrus juicy with grapefruit hoppy and some fizz. The fizz dizzipated, the juice and mild bitters remained. It’s as full flavoured as a light can get, other light pales pale by comparison.  Certainly easy going down, definitely crushable. This hazy light maintains Frank’s super suds streak.
